EMX Inc of Melbourne Florida has been a provider of video-based surveillance and security systems for defense, energy, and international customers for over ten years. Focused on integrated security solutions employing thermal imaging technology, EMX produces a broad range of systems for land, vehicle and marine applications. With an installed base of over 3000 systems, EMX has US Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and USCG installations in such diverse environments as Alaska, Korea, Okinawa, Hawaii, Guantanamo Bay, Iraq and Afghanistan. Recently expanding into surveillance equipment for Energy and Oil, EMX counts such customers as DOE Oak Ridge, British Petroleum in Colombia and Exxon-Mobil on the Houston Ship Channel. Additionally, EMX thermal weapon sights are used by USAF Special Forces and by DOE Nuclear and Conventional Power Plant Security Teams.  EMX is dedicated to providing innovative, cost effective solutions to safeguard critical infrastructure and assets. We have recently expanded our business to integrate our surveillance systems with international pipeline and refinery SCADA systems

Tim Arion

Founder, CEO & Chairman of the Board
 
Tim Arion is Founder and Chairman of EMX Inc. He has an MBA and BBA in Management and over 35 years experience in management and marketing of high tech electronic products. He has worked in all phases of business and has held positions as Vice President of Business Development, Director of Business Development and International Business Manager for divisions of Fortune 200 Companies serving the military electronics systems market. In a volunteer capacity Mr. Arion served as a Business Analyst for the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando, Florida. In this role Mr. Arion provided management guidance, business planning, and strategic planning for small businesses seeking to improve their position in the marketplace. Also, in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Commerce Branch Office and under the sponsorship of the UCF SBDC; The Central Florida Chapter of the National Contract Management Association; and, the Valencia Community College Small Business Development Center; Mr. Arion conducted periodic short courses on “Introduction to International Trade,” ”Preparation of Business Plans,” “Basics of Proposal Preparation,” and, “Preparing a Winning Proposal.”
   
   
Allan Harris - Director of Production for EMX Inc

Mr. Harris serves as Director of Production for EMX. He has a degree in Electronic Systems Technology and over 17 years of mid to executive level management experience. He is a retired Air Force Senior Master Sergeant (E-8) with over 23 years of military experience. His background is in the telecommunications arena where he has over 25 years of hands-on experience. His previous positions have included Chief Enlisted Advisor for a 2,200 person division, Chief of the Network Control Center for 4,500 clients, Chief of Communications Maintenance and Visual Information for an operational base, and Director of Quality Assurance for 600 maintenance personnel. In his role as Director of Production he is responsible for the production, assembly, and design of all EMX product lines. He regularly conducts focus groups to ensure EMX products are ever evolving to meet the needs of its clients. He is committed to ensuring that each and every EMX product line is designed with quality and efficiency in mind while providing a cost effective answer for client needs.
   
   
Wes Olsen - manager of Quality Assurance - EMX Inc

Mr. Olson has a B.S. degree from the University of Central Florida and 29 years of technical experience, 20 served in the U.S. Navy Submarine Force. During his time in the military, Mr. Olson served as the Quality Assurance Chief Inspector in a Weapons Repair Department at an Intermediate Repair Facility. There he managed the Quality Assurance Program designed for the repair and maintenance of Naval weapons, including submarine-launched nuclear missiles. As the Quality Assurance Manager at EMX, his responsibilities include overseeing manufacturing process audits, inspections, assembly procedures, and training and inspector certification. In addition, Mr. Olson ensures that EMX exceeds ISO 9001:2000 requirements.
   
   
Chuck Stagg - Manager of Field Services - EMX

Having worked with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, and serving 14 years in the U.S. Navy, Mr. Stagg has an extensive background in navigational electronics installation, test and support. As the Test Instrumentation Supervisor, he supervised up to 15 team members performing critical upgrades and testing of Navy missiles. As Manager of Field Services, Mr. Stagg supervises and conducts all phases of EMX Product Installation, from initial contact, site surveys, selection of the installation team, to follow-up contact, troubleshooting and maintenance reminders. His thorough background in electro-optics, thermal imagery, thermal cameras and electronics, coupled with his appreciation of the critical nature of the assets that EMX equipment guards, contribute to his personal commitment to proper, safe installations.
